Consumables Charge
As part of our obligations under the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Oxfordshire County Council and Statutory Guidance, and we do not charge for anything that is required to deliver the funded entitlement itself. To maintain an environment that extends beyond the basic requirements of the EYFS, we apply a flat-rate voluntary consumables fee to all funded places. This contribution is separate from your funded early education hours, which remain free at the point of delivery. The fee supports high-quality shared resources not covered by government funding, including nutritious meals and snacks, nappies, sun cream, and enhanced experiences for indoor and outdoor learning, as well as external visits that fall outside of the EYFS. While this charge is voluntary and not a condition of accessing your child's funding, these contributions are vital to sustaining the enriched experiences that help all our children thrive however if too many families chose not to pay, will be forced only to deliver only the basic EYFS requirements across all age groups.
Our consumables charge clearly itemised on our website and furthermore on our invoices, and it relates solely to additional day-to-day consumables that parents may otherwise choose to provide themselves. These items sit outside the core EYFS delivery and do not impact a child's ability to access their funded hours.
